Unique Business Basic · Since 1947
You pay a per-user license every year for a Business Basic runtime, and you pay to keep a server alive underneath it. Hand us both. Your programs, screens, keystrokes and keyed data files stay exactly as they are — we replace the interpreter beneath them and run it in our cloud, for half the license you pay today.
Free · automated · no card · no data files · no sales call
01 Proof
One production corpus, both engines, every result compared value by value. This is what came back.
Summary screen from the differential test harness: parse 5,079 programs and 536,000 lines at 100%, 1,344,450 records read byte-exact, writes re-read byte-exact in the incumbent runtime, 245 of 245 arithmetic cases matching, a 2 ms keyed lookup against a 3,665 ms full scan, and measured terminal behaviour — with zero mismatches across those cases.
5,079
Programs parsed, 100%
536,000 lines of Business Basic source. A live corpus, not a benchmark suite, and nothing set aside.
1.34M
Records read byte-exact
All 1,344,450 records of a customer master, compared on both engines record for record. Not sampled.
245/245
Arithmetic cases, penny-exact
Every decimal checked to its last place, PRECISION rounding included. Pennies are not a rounding opinion.
2ms
Keyed lookup on that file
The same read takes 3,665 ms as a full scan. Our SQL reads the ERP's keyed files and knows their indexes.
Those are the figures we hold, measured on our side against the incumbent runtime rather than against our own expectations. The ones we don't hold yet are further down this page.
We are not selling you software we don't use.
Unique Photo runs its own orders, inventory, purchasing and accounting on this engine today, out of Fairfield, New Jersey. The company behind it has been in business since 1947 — long enough to know what an ERP outage costs, and long enough to still be here when you need us.
02 The ask
The whole first step is a file transfer. Our parser does the rest, unattended, and you find out precisely where you stand before anyone talks to anyone.
01Tar it
One archive of your programs — tar czf programs.tgz and you're
done. No data files, no credentials, no access to anything of yours.
02Send it
Drop it on the form or email it. Whatever you send stays confidential and is deleted when you ask us to delete it.
03Read it
What parses, what doesn't, which programs need attention and why — named individually. Useful about your own system even if you never call us back.
03 Before you ask
Pre-GA
This is not generally available yet. We are taking a small number of design partners, each with a mirror of their old system running alongside for as long as they want one.
Being rewritten
The report writer and print spooling are being rebuilt rather than emulated, and that work is not finished. If your printing is load-bearing, say so early.
Partial
SQL is single-table today — key-aware, which is what makes 2 ms possible, but with no JOINs or aggregate functions yet.
The engine, the migration, the pricing and why a photo distributor wrote a runtime — it's all on the main site.
